A short comedy about a man, his foot, and finding happiness.

Bunion is a short romantic comedy inspired by actor/writer Avi Rothman’s actual bunion. Oscar-nonimnated filmmaker Jessica Sanders and Avi Rothman are friends.  One day while walking around the Silverlake Resevoir in Los Angeles, Jessica was talking about her desire to direct a narrative comedy (her background is in feature documentary films and commercials), and Avi told her about his bunion. A month later they were shooting their film, “Bunion.”

The film has had a successful film festival run, received Best of the Fest at the Sun Valley Film Festival and was curated by film critic Elvis Mitchell for LACMA’s Young Director Series.
